Millions of people use The Noun Project every month. You earn royalties when your image is obtained through a single purchase, a Pro subscription, or an API subscription. When a Noun Project user buys your image through a one-time direct purchase, you earn 60% of the image's purchase price minus expenses. When a Noun Project Pro subscriber downloads one or more images in a month, 50% of the subscription's monthly value minus expenses is added to the royalties pool. When an API subscriber calls your image, 50% of the call's value minus expenses is added to your earnings.

If you have an active subscription, you won't be able to apply the promotion to your ongoing subscription or renewal. If you cancel the service, you can sign up for a new subscription and apply the promo code during checkout. This will count as a new subscription and allow you to take advantage of the discount.

Yes. All of The Noun Project's icons are available to download for free. If your icons are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY), they are free to use, as long as the member properly credits you in their work. The Noun Project includes the proper line of credit in a member's free download to ensure credit is given. If a member doesn't want to give credit, they can pay to use the icon license either through a subscription. Any public domain symbol is free to use, even commercially.

The Noun Project calculates royalties (for the previous month) by the last day of each month. Once your balance reaches the payout threshold, funds are transferred to your PayPal account by the last day of each month. Keep in mind it can take a few business days to see the funds in your account after they are transferred. If you earn less than the earnings threshold in a given month, the payout will be held until you reach the minimum threshold. Your funds will accumulate in your account enough for a payout.

The Noun Project sends out royalties via PayPal. The Noun Project will deposit your earnings to the PayPal account you've added in your Account Settings. Once your balance has reached at least $25 for icons, you will be triggered for a payout. Once your balance reaches at least $10 for photos, you will be prompted for a payout.

Subscribers can access the entire Noun Project icon collection via The Noun Project's Mac App and with The Noun Project's plugins for Adobe, Google, and Microsoft.
