    Frequently Asked Questions

What is New Directions Aromatics' shipping policy?

At New Directions Aromatics, they have developed a sophisticated software program that calculates the shipping costs on customer orders. Actual shipping charges are derived using a UPS and FedEx shipping matrix that factors in the actual weight or the dimensional weight (Length x Width x Height), depending on which is greater. They then apply their heavily discounted volume rate that they contract annually with UPS and FedEx. The savings are then passed directly to the customer, and they do not charge any additional handling fees. Charges can be seen online before orders are finalized, so there are no surprises. In Canada, they use both UPS and FedEx. In the USA, they use FedEx only.

How do I track my orders?

Orders can be tracked right from their website. Simply log in to your personal account, review your order history, and click on the button indicating "Track my Order." In addition, an automated email with your tracking number will be sent to you after the package leaves their warehouse. Simply click the link to track your package.

What is New Directions Aromatics return policy?

You can return them within 2 weeks, if you are not satisfied for any reason. All they ask is that the product be returned in saleable condition and in its original packaging to receive full credit on the cost of goods (excluding shipping charges). If an error has been made by them on a written order, they will gladly pay for the re-shipment of the product. In all cases, a 30% restocking fee will be assessed. Refunds or credits will be applied as per the customer's request.

Does New Directions Aromatics accept international orders?

New Directions Aromatics has independent warehouses and offices around the world that handle orders outside of Continental North America. The minimum order for International Orders is $1000, and Wire Transfer is the only accepted method of payment. (Air Freight is expensive and DG Documentation + Special Packaging are both required for items classified as Dangerous Goods (DG), which incur additional costs.) Therefore, in most cases, Ocean Freight would be the ideal option, and the transit time can take between 4-6 weeks.

Which methods of payment does New Directions Aromatics accept?

They accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, PayPal, Certified Cheque, Wire Transfers, Direct Banking Deposits, and International Money Orders. Unfortunately, they do not accept personal or business cheques. If payments are made via Wire Transfer, Direct Deposit, Certified Cheque, or an International Money Order, please do not send payment until they contact you with the exact total of your order.

How do I contact New Directions Aromatics?

You can contact them via telephone at 1-800-246-7817 or 1-800-246-8207 (both toll-free) during their hours of operation, which are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM EST.
